Meet the Team!

Dr. Irene Arshad (Miss Irene)

My name is Irene Arshad, and I am an experienced educator with a passion for student success! I have been tutoring and teaching for over ten years. I don’t just focus on improving students’ academics – I set them up for long-term success through functioning skills. I fundamentally believe that teaching students how they individually learn is the secret to bridging the learning gap in the classroom. I founded Wise Owls Education because I am on a mission to help students navigate their academic and personal journeys of growth. I have a Master’s Degree in Higher Education with a specialty in online teaching and a Ph.D. in Education Technology. I am certified in math and English, grades 5-12, and I am also a certified reading interventionist. My specialty is in test prep, such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, and Praxis Core.

Jessica Dieguez (Ms. Jessica)

Hey there, I´m Jessica – a Mechanical Engineer from the state of Florida with a strong passion for teaching! I started teaching Math throughout my time in college. Today, I teach Math, English, Science, and Spanish to all levels and ages via Zoom/Google-meet. I´ve worked with students in K-12/College and I understand the importance of explaining in detail. Math has always been part of my life, and honestly, I can´t live without it – it´s my favorite subject to teach. All of my sessions are filled with interactive activities, warm-up games, colors, and engaging step-by-step methods that are easy to follow. Students tend to let me know this is one thing they love – the steps! I aim to create a strong relationship with my students that goes beyond the screen. This way, the student feels comfortable with me and the material. I´m excited to start this journey with Wise Owls Education. After all, there’s always a hidden owl in ¨knowledge¨! Outside of that, a few years ago I fell in love with Spain´s accent, culture, and food. Today, I live in the beautiful city of Madrid continuing my professional career as a teacher/tutor. I hope to become a well-rounded educator and learn about the people around me. My goal is to be part of a team that allows me to share my set of skills with others. I enjoy nature, hiking, fashion design, and playing the Ukelele.
